Researchers have been studying CYFIP2 conditions for many years. Amongst these conditions, CYFIP2 EIEE was only first recognized in medical literature in 2018. Despite the many studies conducted since then, our children still do not have a treatment. So why are we fundraising? Researchers can apply for grants to fund their studies. The grant application and review process is long, competitive and does not guarantee an award. Grants from foundations like the CYFIP2 Network help drive the research towards a treatment faster by providing grants to researchers who are studying treatments. 

Research is incredibly expensive. In our search for scientists who can bring us closer to an approved treatment, we have been quoted hundreds of thousands of dollars. We need your help. It would take years for one family alone to fundraise these costs. These are years that CYFIP2 children go without a treatment that would allow them to LIVE TO THEIR FULL POTENTIAL.
